Luxuriously Restored Loft in Historic Old Town Alexandria

Like much of Old Town Alexandria, this home has a unique and storied history. The building that you are staying in today was originally a warehouse for a local wholesale merchant, and likely constructed around 1818 as an extension of 1400 King Street. It is part of the historic building registrar, and has served many purposes over the years, some of which include a flour warehouse in the early 1800s, a saloon starting in 1842, an auto repair shop sometime in the 20th century, and a seafood market and hair salon in more recent years.

This space was re-envisioned in 2018 to become the unique home that you find today. The renovations were intended to emphasize the historic architectural qualities of the space, including the austere detailing and utilitarian structure, as well as to transition it to its latest iteration.

We invite you to be a part of the next chapter of this building’s history, enjoy!
